Ok guys, I'm not a fan of the rubber-lipped goon, but he has a point. There is 37 pence per day allocated for each child's school dinners. The inmates of HM Prisons are allocated 78 pence (and more at specialist units such as Broadmoor and Rampton).

It sounds appalling when you first hear it but you have to remember that school kids have one meal in school, whereas prison inmates have three so its bound to cost more.
