Was just sitting in the tub last night scanning over the ibiza spotlight website and decided to read up on San Carlos as I've never been. I don't know how old the article is that was written for the resort summary but I noticed that there is a trance night on a Wednesday. Does this still occur? Is it an outdoor event? Would anyone recommend staying in San Carlos?

I love san carlos but you need to be aware it is veeeery quiet up there. has some nice beaches nearby (need scooter or car)
 
I may have to check it out. So you wouldn't recommend staying there? I'm up for total tranquility but don't think the missis is.
 
It would be better to stay in Es Canar/Cala Nova... then you could rent a scooter to explore the beaches and villages up there!

Check a map and you'll see the proximity between that area and San Carlos...
 
Only been in June & September but Namaste is quite an experience ( a very pleasant one ) But I promise you hippies are alive and well in Ibiza.
Would heartily recommended it - unique !!!!
 
I'll be going late September as always so I'll check it out. In season, always stayed in San an/San an Bay. Definitely think it's time to shake it up a bit now and see the real ibiza. Only usually go other resorts on island in winter.
 
We go to Ibiza every 2 years at the end of Sep / start Oct and are returning this year. We usually stay in Playa Den Bossa, or Figueretas. But this year we are considering Santa Eularia. Sounds like a good bet reading the above if we want bars, restaurants etc and a bit of night life... would you agree? What's Santa Eularia like in late Sep / early Oct? Also any recommendations on good hotels?

"every 2 years" careful now....would you like to say where you've stayed in PdB & Fig, might help with ideas?
SE is still fully going late Sep-late Oct, maybe wrapping the prom lights up in plastic from about 20th.....

Ha used to go more often when younger love Ibiza but also like to go to new places too. The end of Sep is our wedding anniversary & we have a tradition we go 1 year to Ibiza for it next year somewhere new. In recent years we’ve stayed at Santos, Garbi or Nortico Ebeso. Stayed other places when clubbing or taking the daughter when we looked for All inclusive, but when just me & the wife we like a hotel with a nice atmosphere (doesn’t have to be AI now but would consider all board options) would like near to good restaurants & bars etc. Both foodies (the wife’s a chef) but just as happy with authentic food as high end.
