San Antonio - Playa Den Bossa

I first visited the island in 2003 on an 18-30 and stayed at the Tropical in San Antonio, Ive stayed at Ibiza rocks twice, the bahia on the bay and the Marain apartments this year. I have always had an amazing time in San An but im considering Playa Den Bossa next year. Every year I go to San An it seems to be getting more and more loutish which is not me. Im more into my clubbing. I would miss the sunset strip and the resteraunts in San An but the thought of being able to go to Bora Bora beach any day I want sounds brilliant. Can anybody on here give me a review on Playa Den Bossa compared to San An. Ive been to playa den bossa loads of times so I get the gist but I mean in terms of spending a whole holiday there. Resteraunts, bars etc. Ive been looking at the Sal Rossa on the beach. Has anybody stayed here and if so any reviews. Me and my girlfriend are looking for somewhere thats not full of pisshead teenagers being sick and making loads of noise.
 
That is funny as I have been thinking the other way round. We are thinking of staying near Kumarahas next year?

Its near Port des Torrent I think. I think we need to change the record next year as it has been 6 times to PDB. The only real pull to SA is the sunset bars. I was thinking somewhere just a little out of it.

Anyway, if you are thinking of PDB I can recommend it for the following reasons

1. The vast beach

2. Proximity to Airport

3. Space on your doorstep

4. The 5pm to 8pm sessions at Bora Bora

5. International crowd

6. Ibiza Town (you can walk it if you are at the Figueretas end) on the bus.

7. Beachside hotels

8. The newer beach bars that have become popular over the past couple of years

9. The tiny pizza take away near Raza clubbers shop

10. Good mix of all age groups.
 
good ten points about pdb

plus is better to get to Formentera

plus you can walk it to ibiza from pdb no matter where you are staying.

Las Salinas beach only down the road.

We've stayed 2 mins away from there the last 2 years and i'd say its a better area to be than round near the centre of san antonio.

What did you think of the area? Just struggling to tear myself away from PDB!!!
 
It's beyond the Marina Botafoch (Nueva Ibiza), down the road from Pacha.

There's a bay over there with some beaches around it. You've got a couple of hotels on the marina side and then more over in the Talamanca village side.

It's a quieter area. A few good restaurants around - starting with Fish Shack and Sa Punta at one end of the bay and then going all the way around to a couple of places in the marina area. Nice small beach. Also in the marina - regular ferry boats that take you over to the Ibiza Town harbor.

I stayed at the El Corso for 2 visit (2002, 2003) and enjoyed it. I moved to PdB the following year and stayed because I like the convenience of the beach clubs and Space, but I wouldn't fault Talamanca.
 
(2) You get a great view of the aircraft coming in to land (the further south down PDB the better) :lol:

Handy if there are ever taxi or bus driver's strikes :(, with your wheelie-bag you could just about walk to PDB!! But, especially from the southern end, be prepared for a RR-OOOO-AAAAA-RRRRRRR every 10 minutes :twisted:
