What is the biggest difference between staying in a hotel in San Antonio or San Antonio Bay? How are the 2 places different?

Thanks!

How are the 2 places different?

About 200 more bars in San An town...

Can be quite a trek if u are going to the sunset strip- mambo, kanya etc. Talking about 30mins.

If you time it right there is a water taxi that takes you across the bay to San An town.

I'm going by myself and looking to party :)

Which hotel would you pick from these 3:

Hotel Bellamar - San An Bay
Aparthotel Blau Park
Hotel Marfil

Thanks so much for your help!

Definately the Bellamar, its gorgeous, I stayed there last year, its in San An Bay but sooo close to the bars, its right on the beach front as well, you can walk to Eden in about 25 mins along the promenade and its about 40 mins to sunset strip but its a really plesant walk, you can always get the taxi boat across the bay as well. Its great cuz you can keep away from the west end but your only a short walk away if you want it.:D

25 min

how on earth did it take you 25 min from bellamar to eden ... did u stop in every bar for a shot lol xxxx it takes me 10 min max to eden .. another 10 to sunset strip xxxx 5 hours getting home though walking backwards xxx bellamar is a good choice best of both worlds xx

Another vote for Bellamar from me too. Heading there again in a couple of days - the bay does go on for miles though. I may even get to check out the Pink Panther this year ;-)

hahahaha I've only just read these replies, I forgot how shorter walk it is, I've recently got back and yes, more like 10 mins to eden from bellamar...if that...but if you stop for a drink in every bar then more like 45 :)

I've just got back from a recent trip to Ibiza which included an afternoon /early evening visiting the area around San Antonio, i arrived via bus from St Eularia & got off at the main bus station. On arriving i decided i'd like a drink so set out looking for the Pink Panther bar, ha needless too say that after much searching & asking around i didn't find it :oops:but someone finally told me that it was probably over the other side of the bay? Hence i took the water taxi 2.50euros & got off at the first stop then walked back in the direction of where i came from but their was no sign of the PP bar anywhere. I just kept walking & eventually arrived at the point where i caught the taxi ferry & in all it took only 20mins ofwhich by this time i'd given up on my drink at the PP bar so headed off up some street which seemed full of Irish,Scottish ,English & also a Welsh bar. However the area i found not to my liking as it seemed full of teenage lager louts:( so i headed back to the bus station en route for returning to St Eularia & then onto Es Cana for a quiet evening's drinking with locals alike etc. But as for the walk around the bay then i think for the average person it'll take about 20mins without stopping but i must say that it was a very nice stroll;). Sorry for the long post,

[QUOTEDid you find any decent bars in es cana][/QUOTE]

Hi Don Simon,

Yes i found a couple which were mainly used by the local's & ofwhich in one of them their was live music on a Sunday & Wednesday evenings at Cala Martina though i'm told not to mention it to anyone, i have some photo's of the events but don't know how to upload them onto Spotlight?

The other bar i frequented was my favorate given i was their till around 5am although it's closed at 3am but stays open for awhile after, & it's called bar 3 esqensace? or something. However the owners son Juan is a very friendly person to meet & in general this bar was used by the locals & older British tourists in their 50/60's + who have been returning for years. Infact it was the cheapest bar in all of Es Cana, & if one day i return to Ibiza then it'll be my main drinking hole for it's just so cheap & + they serve simple food 5 euros upto about 2am.

Regards

Dave

so where exactly is the infamous pink panther...we will be staying at the tropicana studios..far side if the bay i believe?

The Bergantin hotel is at the end of the road where PP is. Walking down trhe road towards PP on the left hand side there is a crazy golf place, a rodeo bar, an irish bar called Donnegans (I think) a few little shops and then PP - ut is opposite some appartments/hotel but cant remember the name.

If you PM Suepink she will be able to tell you exactly where it is - I would def go cos it is the best place to start (and finish) the night. You have to try her big jugs!!!

8 weeks time and I will be enjoyin my first night in P - followed by 9 more nights!!!!

I stayed in Bellamar, really liked it, its nice and peaceful but not too far away.
We walked to San An most nights and it probably took us 15 mins? Its an easy walk too.
