Hey everyone. My flight leaves tonight I can't wait. But does anyone kow where/how much/how long for the ferry from San An to Formentera?

Always thought they only went from Ibiza town but got told last year you can get them from San an.

Would really love to go this year.

Thanks again!
Ed

Ed, I don't know from San An but from IBiza it's 20 minutes - 1 hour and you don't pay more than 12 - 15€

Really really worth it. Make a search with the word Formentera and you'll find hundreds of posts.

And happy holidays, btw :D

Tried that but couldn't find anything about san an. Thank you for the reply. I'm soooo excited - look forward to this all year every year!

They do go from San An but they are the smaller - more dangerous boats in rough weather and it takes a whole lot longer. Your better off going from Ibiza Port. The ones in San An go from the same places that all the other little trips go from.

Have a lovely time Ed, its lovely.

Hi.

Yeah, Formentera Is fantastic. I love Ibiza, but Formentera for me makes me feel like im actually on holiday as it not commercialised! Lovely beach there, very carribeanesque!

I havent used the boats from Ibiza Town, but have travelled there twice from San An. Both took around 2 hours to get there. I have heard the Ibiza town ones take around 30mins...but not definatly sure.

The first time was on a smaller boat, and it did get a little rough, and there wasnt much shade. However the second time i went, last year, the boat was a bit bigger catermaran, more sturdy and also had a glass bottom, as well as well shaded. Im sure it depends on which boat excursion booth you goto.

The first time i went from san an it took us to the Formentera port, which from there you need either a moped or pick up a coach to get to the main beach.

However the second time i went, it took us straight to the rocks in front of the beech. It was a little tricky to get to the beach as you have to navigate yourself over some rocks and wade through water with your stuff to get over to the beach, but part of the adventure i suppose.
This was better than getting the coach as you had more time to spend there.

Im off there probably next week, so enjoy yourself, im sure i will!

It takes you into the main harbour, there is a bus that goes around all the beaches or you can walk 15-20 mins round to a really nice beach
