San Antonio Bay

prob about a 15 min walk, 5 min taxi. Have'nt been down that way for years though, so may be different.

Hey can someone please tell me how far San Antonio Bay is from the West End?

Thanks Simon

Depends on which end of the bay you're in, anything from 15 to 25 mins should do it, longer if you stop off for a beer or two! You can always take a water taxi if you're down the far end.

go to home page ok.use maps.put san an bay area in.scan full area.your hotel ect should be listed.like they say depends how far down road you are.walk there.somehow get back.without popping into the sea ect.

get a taxi back.....

It depends on which hotel you are staying in. We were in the Bahia last year (right on the town/bay border) and it took us about ten minutes to walk but if you are further round the bay it will take longer but just get a taxi if you are feeling lazy. They're quite cheap.

tip of the day....dont get a taxi from the bay to the town for the hour running up to sunset, otherwise it will take you at least half an hour due to the huge ammounts of traffic heading for the sunset strip, got caught out doing this last year and never again.

was about a 1 hr walk for us from the bay because we stupidly decided it ws fun to stop at the bar with the bull !! What a mistake that is with sunburnt legs :(

aout a 20 min walk away

Bay, and Hotel Bahia

The Bay seems to go on for miles, back in blighty now but last night walked from my hotel (Bellamar, in San An Bay) to Kumharas (also in San An Bay) and it took at least 30 minutes.. So yeah, depends where you are along the bay - there's a lot of cheap and cheerful "Brits abroad" places further down the bay if that's your thing too..

PS What on earth has happened to the Hotel Bahia? It's become a complete chav-fest! Stayed there once and loved the extra touch of class, but wouldn't touch with a bargepole now as gangs of shouting beer boys aren't my thing ;-)

We thought the Bahia was very chavesk as well!! We loved the hotel itself and the view of the harbour etc was brilliant but the kind of people staying there was not good. It was full of Eden/Es Paradis beer boy types and there was more Reebok Classics gracing the lobby than you could shake a stick at. All you could hear was doors slamming and chavy geordies arguing all night. I love to mingle in a hotel normally but found it difficult at this one.
I talked to a lad one night about Space the night before and he'd never even heard of it!!! I suggested he try Malia next year :-)
We are in the IbizaMar this year. Fingers crossed about the clientelle!!

Never been to Ibiza Mar - fingers crossed for ya!

The problem is if you read reviews of Bahia here it gets good reports, but I heard somewhere it's now an 18-30 so that might explain it, and also invalidate all those old reviews of it!

Can't recommend highly enough the Bellamar (near to Bahia) - best hotel I've stayed in at Ibiza by a mile and not a single beer-boy in sight ;-)

Dont hold out too much joy for the Ibizamar, its just as bad except its more like charva families, accomodation is sh*te, supposed to be 1 bedroom but the bedroom is really a large hall that you have to walk through to get to the lounge and bathroom. Pool area is like a multistorey car park, theres more fred perry than reebok.8O

when i was there a couple of years back, the service was dreadful, rubbish never emptied for the whole 2 weeks, apartments not cleaned at all and the place was full of chavvy fat kids with skinheads, maybe it will be better for you, at least its not far from the beach and Duna

IbizaMar turns into 18 30s place from june till sept...rooms are not bad atleast you have air con...you may get a few familys with young kids or a few couples on late deals....all you need is below you on main road.nice group of shops..
years ago i stayed there just oneday/night.and next door was a few hippys playing bongos all day..not bad for a bit..untill i gave them a tin of beans-- not to eat mine you...

if your really looking to get away from 18 30s 20s..you really have to stay in a 3/4 star hotel....ok you get a few young ones.but the hotel has the power to get rid of people who make to much noise ect....

i got rid of 2 germans from my hotel this year....one warning they get.any more and you are out...you get a written letter to sign.stating to be more undercontrol...they came back from space shouting in the hotel....the doorman told them to pack...

i can stick it so far but at 2 am drinking and shouting in room was not on....then they went out till 6am...came back and messing about in the hall/room/ect....

don;t worry i am not out again till oct....mine you i may try a long weekend soon...?

trouble is these people don;t know who they are upsetting..

ok, going to sound really stupid now - what is a water taxi? We are staying in San An Bay at the Bergantin and need to know the best ways of getting around.
Also, we have tickets booked for a party at El Divino - whats the best way to get over there?
xx

the water taxi is what it says, they are small boats which hold around 30 people or so which take you from various points in the bay to the town, theres around 5 places down the bay where they pick up every half hour, they also return back to these places from the town, the last one is around 11.30/12.00 depending on the season.

From the Bergantin there are two pick up points, one outside the s'estonyol hotel which is slightly to the left of the bergantin, (if your looking out to sea) and the other one is next to the Hawaii which is to the right of the Bergantin.

Tho you'd be lazy beyond belief to get one from the Hawaii, as by the time you've waited for it, faffed on and off the boat you could have walked round the promenade anyway ;-)

el divino

el divino is on the harbour in ibiza town, taxi will cost you abot 25 euros, not bad between 4 xxxx and the best thing about the bergantin is it is only 500 yards from the pink panther bar:lol:, then just pop on the ferry opposite....into san antonio west end after a few cocktails.

Hi Sue – will def be popping into Pink Panther for a few cocktails – its my birthday on Monday 15th September!! What’s the chances of a freebie!?! Lol xx

What time do you close? We land in Ibiza about 2am on Sunday morning and might be tempted to come for a few drinks before closing time if its not too late when we get to the hotel.

What kind of nights do you do at Pink Panther? Looking for fun filled nights and lots of cute blokes!!! Lol  ;)

emma
