San An Dangerous?

Well we're about ready to book our hotel...thanks for all the advice! Still kinda a tough decision between San An and Ibiza Town. However......we've been hearing that San An is dangerous at night?...some people in another forum were posting that it's all fights and what not. We like to party and we can handle people getting rowdy but is it unsafe for two girls?
 
we stayed in san an and there were no problems. it is loud at night thought. i was trying to sleep..well it was 7am and some crazy brits were chanting from there balcony for hours. i liked ibiza town. it's a toss up. glad i stayed at both places. would opt for ibiza town thought. i kept taking the bus there for the beach and the clubs...so it's closer...and looks nicer.
 
I lived in San An last summer and the people on the oher forum are partly right. There were a few riots for a week while some QPR fans were over, tables and the like being flung around the westend, it was pretty scary. However the police put a stop to this after a few days.

The rest of the season it was fine. However would advise you not to go over when the world cup is on because football is usually the main cause of the fights, you know what its lik in your own town centre when england lose!
 
its not all fights in San An but i have seen some there

as for being safe - everyone is as safe as being in their local UK town, juts have to watch out for the same things as everywhere else
 
Hey if people wanna mess about with the Spanish police then its upto them, from personal experience and hearing things though, the odd fight here and their has happend in Ibiza Town as well as San An. The West End is the ruffest area of San Antonio, but only because its cheap, you avoid that (except Plastik Bar) and you wont go far wrong anywhere else. I just cant wait to get back their.

I agree upto a point, but i feel alot safer in Ibiza because the majority of people their are their for the same reasons as you, to have a good time.
 
Hush in my opinion is the best bar in the westend.

This year they have fitted a new funktion one soundsystem (same as space terrace) so it will be banging!!!

Its located on the road parallel to the west end, near the ship inn.

You working the season or just holiday ryan?
 
Aah sounds great then, I think I know where you mean, we escaped the West End to the parallel road last year. Im out their with my gf and a few mates just for a week unfortunately, staying in the Recos Des Sol, about 10mins away from the West End. What about you mate?
 
Well I can't say I know what it's like with football riots in the UK....considering I'm from the states but I've heard stories. Red Sox fans in boston are a little crazy and we've had a few people killed in the riots and i hear the English are worse with the football! Haha thats okay, I'm sure we can avoid any major brawls. thanks for the help. :)
 
I've been to doctor for my '!' addiction and now he said I'm cured now. I just can't ask any questions??????????????????????????//

Umm, I've been there 7 years running and I've seen more trouble on a night out here than a week over there.

The only real danger is planning on going home at a certain time then finding a nice bar and popping in for a 'quick drink'.
