stayed at the Garbi in PDB. Highly recommended. great clean rooms, excellent staff, bar and food by the pool or beach. free sunbeds on beach. decent breakfast included.
Sat: went on buckleys boat ting. it was great fun for most but i felt distictly rough. the sea was choppy, the sun strong and the beer flowing. nice set by stu hirst but i went for a lie down.
Sun: SPACE. i cannot stress highly enough how great it is to get there early. we were on the sunset terrace by 1pm and it was awesome. there is room to dance, happy people and proper terrace music. great sets from oscar conlorado and, of course, johnathan ulyesees. pass out 4-8 for a swim, rest and a bit of supper.
Space was pretty empty tbh. when we returned in the evening, the new terrace was deserted and poor Dave Phillips was playing to about 40 people in the discoteca. had fun though.
We Love really need to sort out the music on the new terrace though. 'Smokin' Jo's crew were pretty ordinary and Paul Woolford and Nic Fanculli were dull dull dull for most of the time. Rediculously, there was a vip area on the new terrace which was completly empty the enitre time.Shameful.
James Zabelia was awesome inside. I dont usually like him, i usually think he is a bit too 'pots and pans' and seems to play more for himself than the crowd. not today though, a stormer.
Mon: plenty of rest. then a BBQ on Buckley's very own "sunset terrace" very nice it is too, altough it was cloudy and we couldnt see the sunset!!! we got extraordinarily drunk
Tue: a day at the beach at Calla Conta. very nice
met up with super moderator Stephen and the lovely Jakki for a few beers and a chat.
supper at El Distino in San Josep. as ever, brilliant.
mrs russ plus most of the rest of our crew weren't up for a big night but DanX and i were so we headded over to bora bora for the last hour, spend a very amusing hour in the disco Garbi. full of 17yr olds who have been let out by their parents for the night. hillarious, a music policy of 'chart classics'
then onto Pacha for Defected. also pretty quiet. junior Jack and Kid Creme were ok, lotsa drums. shovel from M People on percussion and some sexy ladies dancing on hoops suspended from the ceiling. We had a real blast.
wed: mrs russ went to formenterra and i slept
then we came home
