In ibiza for 2 weeks from 27th august with girlfriend. We're doing all the clubby stuff, but where would you suggest is the most romantic place to go for a nic meal. Somewhere overlooking a sunset would be nice. I don't mind spending a bit of cash as long as it isn't too epensive!!
I did a search but couldnt find much

Cheers in advance

For a night off from partying we like to go to La Ventana in dalt vila - Ibiza town.

Lovely setting, excellent food at an affordable price.

No sunset though i'm afraid.

My fave place for romantic meal is KM5 - lovely settings, you can eat in the restaurant and then spend the rest of the evening chilling in the gardens with a cocktail :D Others to try are El Ayouen or L'Elephant (ask for a terrace table for view overlooking the island).

If you do a search for any of those you should find some more info about them.

How about coastline (san antonio) , the restaurant which set set up high above the pool/ terrace area is fab with unfettered views of the sun setting into the sea. Was there a few weeks back and it was great

coastline is very romantic indeed. last time we were there the whole pool area was reserved for some sheik's b-day bash, they had huge lit-up decorations on the sea and fireworks at the end 8)

another and a very differend option is pikes where they have cosy candle light dinners around the pool with a live band.

i should get my ass over to la ventana and km5, i've still never been there before

Km5's quite nice, but i found the food appalling last year.

Probably a one off, or me just being a fussy &*£!

Yea, i think Coastlines nice at night in the restaurant area with the candles and if you time it right just after sunset so the skys all pink :D

Ive never even thought about pikes and its somewhere ive always wanted to try, wonder what the menu and price is like though.

Drew - Me & Robo are supposted to draggin our other halves along to KM5, ive always wanted to go and keep saying every year that i will but ive heard some bad reports about it. Would you say it was worth it or shall i just take my chances?

I've heard lots of good and equally bad reports.

When we went they messed up our reservation, the service was average and the food was boring and almost cold!

It's quite nicely set out, but i think that's all it's got going for it IMHO.

Go see for yourself, you may think differently.

:)

Mambo, me and Tom have probably had more 'romantic' meals @ KM5 than anywhere else and have never had a bad meal there, even going back to the days when the menu was solely in Spanish and we didn't have clue what we were ordering half the time

For me, the fish menu is brilliant and Tom (and lots of other people who've been there) say the steak there is the best they've ever had :D

I couldn't fault a meal there if I tried, I know some ppl have had bad experiences there but maybe they were unlucky cos we've always had nothing but the best, I'm sure you'll enjoy it ;)

Mambo thats what we did when they lost the booking (we were with Drew) and we had to wait over 2 hours for them to find a table.

I would recommend phoning them when you get to Ibiza to confirm (they all speak really good english) otherwise you might have a very long wait

 they sound really crap now

They need someone to organise their diary a bit better by the sounds of things.

Thanks for the advice, i suppose i better ring them aswell then
