Playing an unknown guy called Alejandro Falla.

Was 2-0 sets down. The other guy was serving for the match.

Got back to 2-1, lost his first service game in the fourth set.

An incredible match and a blinding example of the mental fortitude of these top sportsmen.


A must watch on the highlights programme tonight.
 
I was an amazing match.

If Falla hadn't have picked up the injury I honestly think he could have won 3-0.
 
He was flying around the court post injury massage, he didn't look too imobile to me!

He had a look of former legend Pete Samprass. Maybe this spooked the mighty Fed:idea::lol:
 
I dunno, his backhand seemed to suffer a bit, but the rest of his play was superb.

I was desperately hoping he'd win. That would make Goliath look like a midget.

It's just a shame that the looks of Samprass are accompanied by the mental strength of Rusedski. :lol:

Never mind Federer - anyone see the epic that was Mahut and Isner yesterday? OMG - 10 hours in total nearly and they have to finish playing today as light went last night - leaving it at 59 - 59 in the final set - talk about :eek:

Missed it all as I was stuck in the fekkin hairdressers til gone 7pm -

I think these two are ultimate athletes - staminer is unbelievable!!!
