I am staying at the Riviera Hotel San Antonio Bay in 3 weeks time. Can anyone give me any details on this hotel and its surrounding area? Also how far is it from the west end. Is it in walking distance/

Walking will take about half hour give or take i reckon, depending on how long your legs are!

But a cab will be peanuts, or you could always catch a water taxi from outside San Remo to the other side of San An. Pretty cheap too.

Btw, bare in mind you might find yourself re-allocated to another GPS hotel as it'll still be early in the season & they have a habit of filling-up hotels before they open the smaller ones.

Not sure if anybody else can confirm, but I was due to stay in the Riviera about this time couple of years ago, and ended up in the San Remo. We walked past, and it was still boarded up. We weren't the only ones either. Of course, could be different this year.
 
you have a got a bit of a walk to get to west end.25 mins at a good pace 30 mins steady.there is water taxi;s that go across the bay for a few euro;s.google map it and take a look.
 
gps do it all the time realy serason and late season end of sept/ into oct.makes sence but i would not like it.nice for some though they upgrade you to a/i.or in some cases a far better hotel.its happens a lot in playa den bossa.from a back street atps to the algarb right on sea front.
