I think Sven "well....I...errr" Goran Eriksson is a pile of poop! Babs is right he creates more headlines for the muppets he's shagging than for being an effective football manager. You don't see Alan Pardew or Stuart Pearce making the headlines for their out of work exploits do you? I think it's disgraceful that he is paid £3million a year to do what?!

The whole Arab sheik sting was like something out of Only Fools and Horses, how he could have fallen for it is beyond me. Surely as a world reknown manager you should be told to look out for this kind of thing?!

I thought that originally, but they did fly him to Dubai, pay for top class hotels and bring out on a luxury yacht. You'd expect the NoTW to offer to meet him for chat in a cafe in Peckham a la Del-Boy, but they spent (reportedly) a 'six-figure sum' on hoaxing him.

Buckley raises a good point - anytime a newspaper spends a six-figure sum trying to get you to say something stupid, you've got to wonder what purpose is served by spending so much energy trying to wreck the guy.

You should know Morbyd that the good old News of the World thinks nothing of paying 6 figure sums around to obtain stories that they believe are in the 'public' interest
