when I saw Hawtin last year at cocoon he was good... but I saw him a couple of other times in the past year and it was just boring.. when I saw him in 2002/2003, it was def. more banging and danceable than the stuff he's doing now....I only hope he gets the dancefloor going on aug 28 at cocoon..
 
saw him on sunday - he was fantastic, certainly dancable, very techno-ey with big breakdowns and stuff. A hell of a lot less minimal than I thought it would be I have to say. Kept

I saw him for the first time at SE1 also, nowhere near as minimal as I was expecting! Couldn't believe how many people were there!

richie is from my home town windsor, ontario canada although some list him from across the border in detroit, michigan! canadian dj represents!

He's actually british - he emigrated to Canada when he was 10 or something! Wouldn't want you guys to take all the credit! ;)
 
haha your right but those dj skills delevloped in Canada! The UK has enough incredible dj's lets at least get a little credit for Richie, lol!
 
Sorry this Cd didnt really do anything for me. I'll have to listen to it again to see it grows, but its far too bleepy and without any bass.

This isnt the type of minimal ive heard at Dc-10 or other minimal style nights, those usually have lots of heavy bass even if its quite bleepy.
 
Turn your HIFI up or increase the Bass level then, there was plenty when I listened to it
