I'll spare ye the whole got pissed, took loads of drugs, sunbathing, had brilliant experiences bollix as it been done to death a million times. Here is my review of clubnights visited.

Manumission 19th July, dreadful is the only word that comes to mind, as a former fan of this night it really has gone downhill. The night saved only by a brilliant hip-hop set by Grandmaster flash in the coco loco bar. Too packed, full of knobs, the music in the main room was abhorrent.

Manumission Carry on 20th July, excellent although it dies out very quickly around 1pm ish

Carl Cox opening party 20th July, pretty good, but where the big guy should drop that mc thing he has taken to recently, its completely head wrecking. 1,2,3,4 etc etc. More than average rude people aswell.

In bed with Space 21st July, excellent. Great crowd, great atmosphere, Barbara Tucker is a great performer.

We love Sunday 25th July, went in around 10pm, terrace packed and rocking, but I was there for only two things Jeff Mills and Umek, and what a funking night it was!!! One of my best ever, how hard is Umek? Brilliant, great crowd, great atmosphere. Jeff Mills played the age of love in his set, which was amazing

DC10 26TH July, Very Poor up to 5/6 pm when Mr C came on, lots of people very funked up on Drugs, falling about, got the hell out after Mr C

Cocoon 26th July, A lot of people love this night on this site, but for the second year in a row it was only average for me, hard soulless techno with no rhythm, structure anything, the only thing that saves this is Richie Hawthin, atmosphere was very poor aswell, and a lot of unfriendly weirdo’s in there, won’t be in a rush back. Space the previous night was the way techno should be, indeed Carl Cox’s night is better aswell.

Manumission Carry On 27th July, as before

Carl Cox Birthday 27th July, Marco Bailey excellent, Carl pretty good aswell, less of the annoying mcing thing going on

Wednesday 28th, Subliminal at Pacha, excellent if a little overcrowded, Morllio rocks! Nice crowd, nice atmosphere.

Bora Bora rocks every day, but if does get boring after a while if you are staying right beside it. Bar staff are as rude and ignorant as ever.

Top Tip, get mobile with a car, this was my highlight of the holiday, exploring the island and visiting loads of fabulous restaurants and beaches

i dont understand why ibiza is sleeping...for decades the island was trendsetting, but now its every year the same boring shit.... :?:

EDCASE,

Were you staying in the Jet Apts? I was there for the week 23-30 July, seemed to be a fair few Irish around, I was at a lot of the nights you talked about too.

You might be able to tell me, is it possible to get a return flight from ireland to ibiza just for a couple of days. I was thinking of going over for some of the closing parties but have been told that if i am going for less than a week, i have to stop in london.

Also did you find that people were a little rude over there this year. I think it is because people think we are english, on more than one occasion people seemed to rude to us but once we explained that we were irish and not english they were all over us

I'm afraid I was looking in to it myself and London is the only way to go it seems, I know what you mean about ignorance, the best way around it is when somebody in a bar or restaurant says "you English"? say "No, Irish but I speak English" the second they find out you are Irish they are grand! I don't know what that says about English people, as any English people I meet were sound.

Got this all the time, I'm English but all me mates out there (bar my missus) were Irish. Was funny cos you'd get Scottish etc... coming up to us saying ' you's Irish, aren't the English c*nts' my mates would turn round and say 'yer man theres English' and it then they'd be like 'sorry mate'

In regards to flights I'm sure you can get in direct flights from Dubli to Alicante then Alicante to Ibiza.

<--- hi carlos!! :p

My fav beaches,

1. Cala d'hort, for the view
2. Portinax, not a the beach but the rocky bit, very quite and relaxing
3. Cala Sa Vincente and Aqua Blanca

Fav Restauarnts

1. La Oliva, dalt villa
2. That one up the road from Bambudda Grove, looks like a house El something I think...faboulous
3. Bel Sito in San An, food is excellent

I stayed in the Bossa Mar too, i presumed they were part of the jet complex.

There was two groups of us and the others had a 2 bedroom apt in the Jet overlooking the pool, it was gorgeous. Of the 3 us staying in the bossa mar only one of us spent one night sleeping there, the rest of the time we were on the couch or balcony of the apartment in the Jet. The Bossa really was a kip, we were staying on the bottom floor on the road on the way to Bora Bora, I was sure that our room would be broken into but thankfully it wasn't
