The two obvious one's I have been to that I can remember are Kasbah and Km5 and love those but where else is there? Will be based in PDB but happy to travel for a nice meal - overlooking the sea would be nice? I've heard the restaurant in Pacha is lovely and you get entry into the club too? anyone been? Also heart abit about Passion too? where is it?

p.s. I am addicted to this site now, it's fantastic! Should really get some work done!

did you know that we have nearly 2300 cafes bars and restaurants on ibiza and formentera?
there is something to suit all tastes and all pockets and my advice as always is 'if you see loads of local people eating there get in asap'

here's my tip of the day for today

try a takeaway - es pollastre in san antonio's indoor market at the back of the west end does the most superb spit roast chickens, legs of lamb, pork ribsand freshly made sofrit pages. in addition to this meat fest vegeterians are well catered for with ibicenco salad, roast peppers, escalivada, etc and there is an enormous section of olives, pickles and dried fruit and nuts.

i could have bought everything today but settled for an ibicenco salad which as it turned out was big enough for 4 people and cost €3.80!!

Appreciate the tip Stephen - where would you recommend restaurant wise? food sounds ok but don't think my g/f would be too impressed if I told her I was taking her for a takeaway at the back of the west end :?:

many people may be surprised to hear that there are many excellent restaurants in that very area. to name but a few, rias baixas serves fantastic galician food, es rebost de can prats and es ventall have really good ibicenco food, rincon de pepe is the business for tapas, and there's a new mariscaria opened called volanti (next to the village inn) which has a good selection of seafood tapas.

It is a trek from PDB to Kasbah, but I fully recommend that and Coastline Cafe which is a 2 min walk away from Kasbah too. Best food at both and unbeatable views. If you do go to the west end, try to find Jamel's Bistro... biggest T-bone steaks and amazing sides with it!

Many thanks Stephen - any recommendations for Ibiza town or PDB?

We'll be making our way across at least once to 'do sunset' on a day we're recovering... so we'll do one of kasbah or coastline definitely! Never eaten at coastline before.

I'll bet with the amount of praise I give CC and Kasbah, ppl think I work for them but I don't. I just absolutely love the two and everything about it. If you like paella, DO NOT MISS the seafood paella at Coastline... it is for 2 but enough for 4, trust me (i'm a fatty  ). There are two sides to Coastline, one that is less formal and the other is the proper dining room. The dining room gets rather busy so get there a bit early or even call ahead if need be.

Cheers,
Terry

cheers Terry - think I'm gonna give Coastline a go one night... The paella closed the deal btw

just seen the thread below on restaurants now....DOH!

Just done a google search and 'ama lur' seems to be the one to definitely go to!

Jez we went to Al Ayouen for first time in June and I'd def recommend that.

Also La Brasa, Dalt Villa, La Olivia in Ibiza Town are some of my faves.

Re your Passion qu, Passion is a cafe bar in PDB, just down from Jet on the way to Space. It sells the bestest smoothies and milkshakes, a lovely rose wine and really nice food for a daytime snack. Highly recommended pre/post Space ;)

Oh yeah that reminds me. Jez, if you want a wikkid milkshake and you're near, go to Kasbah... UNBELIEVABLE milkshakes... I thought I was going to collapse after my first sip, but then realized I wouldhave dropped my milkshake :)

Glad the paella sealed the CC deal. Truly the best thing I have probably ever tasted in my 22 years! Let me know if you give it a try. When are you headed to the isle btw?

You've obviously never been to Passion for a milkshake then, my b/friend is a milkshake expert  and he finds the Kasbah ones ok but you try the Chocolate Oero milkshake @ Passion, now that's a milkshake :D
