Hey going out there in june... Used to go to a great restaurant called wild asparagus up the hill... Is it stil open, and does anyone know the number so that I can book in advance?

Also are there any decent bars/tapas places?

Thanks x

Let’s balance the books a bit here !!

We thoroughly enjoy going to Asparagus – it may not be the most adventurous menu nor the most Spanish but the ambiance, staff as well as a great vista are exceptional.

Luis the manager & Pedro the barman both speak excellent English so no problems there. If it’s a quiet night & he’s not run off his feet Luis has many a tale to tell and is only too happy to share them with you.

We will certainly be back there on a Thursday in June for the special which is Lamb and is mouth-watering in any language and hopefully Laura will be back doing her flamenco which is absolutely stunning to watch.

You could be right about the phone number, I got it off an Ibiza restaurant website and Ibiza websites are reknowned for their inaccuracies.

For the last few years, I have used Zebra run by Pepe - from the beach going out of the resort towards Asparagus, look for the turning on the right and follow the green signs. If you want good fish, skip Mondays.

My favourite restaurant used to be Casa Piedra which as you hit the main road going out of Cala Llonga, turn left towards Ibiza and its about 100 metres on the left - used to be superb but I hear it's still ok.
