Restaurants - Costs

elo people - having not been to the isle for a few years nor ever having any money to eat out properly when i have been there, i'm now trying to find out some reasonable eateries at all levels of cost. Problem is when i find out the name of a restaraunt recommended on this site for instance, the respective web sites NEVER have any costs against the menu. Not even say KM5 or L'elephant list costs next to the menu (I believe these two are v pricey though - am i just being naive here!?).

Question is can anyone recomend a source to get approx prices for restaurants from ie a review site? many thanks.
 
Very few restaurants give their prices online - I guess one of the reasons is that their menus change regularly depending on what's in season etc and that means prices change accordingly.

A lot of people on this site when they review restaurants give an idea of what they paid so try searching for individual restaurant names on here using the search function.

We normally pay 100 euros for 2 @ KM5 including wine and service (normally 2 courses for me, 3 for my b/friend).
 
thanks barbie, will do - 100 euros is not to bad really if it is as good as it appears to be, certainly not when the wine and tips are thrown in. Certainly seems to be more bang for your buck than many british gaffs i could name.
 
I can highly recommend La Olivia in Dalt Villa. beautiful food and romantic setting, and it only cost us about €75 for three courses, water and wine. Brilliant!

We went this september and the food was ok compared to other years. They had an excellent chef who left to open his restaurant.
Still very good compared to Torreta or El Olivo.
 
Es Caliu(basically meat) or Zebra(Calla Llonga for fish or meat) for a couple of two course meals with a decent bottle of wine will not take you above 80 euros - decent value in my view.
 
i'll second es caliu and offer can caus and san carlos grill all 3 have starters between 4 and 10 euro,main course between 10 and 20 euro about 15 euro for 1lr of cava sangria(yum yum)
come to thing of it there's a fantastic restaurant on the left hand side of the road that goes from santa eu to san carlos and in summer you sit out on the covered terrace...can't think of the name :roll: :roll:
