Restaurant booking times

Hi,

Haven't been to Ibiza for a few years, so the old memory bank needs a bit of a jog. Am going to reserve a table for dinner at Sa Capella, but I can't remember what a suitable time for reserving it would be.

Thanks, Laurie

I normally reserve tables for 10pm or 10.30pm - any later and I lose my appetite. Most of the nice restaurants start bookings from about 9pm onwards.

i had that problem with my father who likes his tea on the table at 5pm. taking my mother to sa capella for her birthday we had to book for as soon as they opened at 8pm. we sat out in the blazing june sun waiting for them to open and we were the only ones there until the desserts appeared.

why not try to get into the spanish way of life while you're here - it's ideal for living in a hot climate.

breakfast 9 ish

brunch 11 ish

lunch 2 til 5 (siesta)

tea 7 ish

dinner 10 ish

is about normal round these parts

it's why all the spanish moan about hotel meal times when they come here on holiday to their own country - they're all geared to northern europeans.

Well, I've booked it for 10 which gives us a nice long time to have a drink first and relax into the evening.

Man, I can't wait, I'm there already!! (It's me and Mrs Lozza's honeymoon!)

Thanks for your info, L

We ate there a couple of years ago, alongside DJ Sneak and his honey...most excellent food and lovely setting...try get one of the tables up on the ledges looking down onto the restaurant!
