A few more short reviews from my side…
Saturday, august 11 – missed matinée, because I arrived too late. The special edition “la leche” was on and, looking at the amounts of cars parked everywhere in PdB and the traffic chaos, when the party ended around 7pm, it must have been a huge one!
But at least, in the evening I got to dance for a bit. I went to GalaNight again, where the Zoo Project was up and running. Defex, one of the oraganisators and a really good DJ at the same time, was in good form and threw a blinding set – together with a fire artist…great to end a day out in the sun!
Sunday, August 12 – went to “we love…” for a bit. First thing I noticed was, the dj running order wasn’t correct (or there has been a last-minute change), because tom novy was to close the terrace but in reality it were Jason bye and alex taylor who, playing back to back (and quite average IMO) closed the terrace. After that, I went inside (discoteca) to see james zabiela. Great set!!! Really one of the best sets I’ve ever heard of this young man! After that, got out again on the new terrace, where groove armada just had finished and bob sinclar started – a bit too cheesy for me.
Monday, August 13 – went to Bora Bora for a tiny bit late afternoon and here’s the prove the DJ is finally playing outside again!
another cocooned night followed later. Both the main floor and the terrace were already well busy when we arrived at around 2am and within an hour, it was really packed overall! In the main room, first James Holden played (liked it again – strange stuff, but good at the same time) and then Sven Väth came on. I went to the terrace, found myself a nice place to dance and enjoyed madga’s great set for a while…here’s amnesia’s very busy terrace at cocoon:
Tuesday, August 14 – back to space for carl cox’ night. Arrived exactly at midnight and went inside for michel de hey. Michel de who? You may think….yes, I know, MDH is not one of the biggest names in the dj world, but IMO simply one of the best. He’s blending techhouse and techno so easily together, I just love it. One of the best sets this year so far for me!!! Did you see What’s Up took over Amnesia’s terrace on Tuesday nights? Michel de Hey plays there as well on one date (maybe the closing on sep 18??) and make sure you don’t miss him when he plays DC10 on September 17!!!
