Renting Scooters - drive between San An & PDB

I was curious if anyone has rented a ~100cc scooter to get from San Antonio to PDB. How long was your drive between the two cities?

I am staying in San Antonio and I would like to ride to Bora Bora during the day, and possibly Space and Pacha for a few club nights out. Is it a safe road to drive a 100cc scooter on? I figure it would be easier to get around than waiting for buses all the time.
 
i think it will be around 20euro's a day but the road is really dangerous (to many fools driving). Why on't you take a cab if you are with 3 or 4?
We're also in San Antonio and definbetly are going to PDB also (3 days we have a car) the other days will be going by bus and returning by taxi.
 
unless you are really keen on hiring a scooter, I would just get a car instead... especially if you are sharing, my car rental is only 23 euro a day
 
When 5 of us went a few years back we all hired little scooters (not sure what cc but the black and red ones you see everywhere). A few things to take into account:

1) Riding them when hungover and a bit 'shaky' is dangerous especially on the main road..big lorries razzing past you makes you nervous

2) Its very hot and uncomfortable cuz the hot sun blasts off the tarmac and burns your arms and legs easily.

They can be good fun but they are dangerous - be warned!!

Just save the hassle and get a taxi - my $0.02 worth! :)
 
Okay - I am looking into renting a car after hearing scooter horror stories... The problem is that I am only 22, and most places require the age of 24.

Is anyone under that age of 24 that rented a car for 25 euros a day? I found one place that rents to drivers over the age of 21, but they charge outragous rates...

If so, where (what company) did you rent for 25 euros a day?
