the pool at my apartment doesn't get cleaned out till the summer, was slightly disappointed as i wanted to swim this month when i was there, definitely was hot enough some days.
I can recommend Santa Eulalia as it is even still lively due the winter. There are a few modern apartment blocks (with pool) and its close to very nice beaches and you can walk to the town.
