Who's going then?

Am well looking forward to this, even have mates from Ireland coming over especially!!

Getting a coach up from London, (anyone know if you can smoke on coaches etc?)

Hoping the main arena will be big to accomodate people for Sasha & Diggers 6hr back 2 back!!!!

I wish mate! Money is the problemo amigo

Some people I know said they'd get me into Renaissance. If it does fall through some other mates have got a spare place in the car to go Shindig.

glasto is off the cards.

Theres something else Ive GOT to do.

Homelands and Creamfields is free ;)

Global Gathering might be blagged-Ill pay for that line up tho!

a mate of mine should be gettin me into Homelands. Creamfields is usually free. Last year I called everyone on my phonebook trying to get on a list but I 'left it too late'. then I bought a ticket and only when I got on site did one of my mates hand me my vip pass!

Nish if you go will you be gettin the coach from the pool??

Just had loadsa hassle booking me mates tickets, website told me 3 of my cards were declined (which shouldn't have been the case) then finally the 4th went through. Luckily they phoned me as apparently ALL transactions had gone through and I was about to have 8 tickets sent out 8O

I'm definitely going to Global Gathering StevieG and probably Homelands too. The GG line up is just awesome. :P

Haven't even thought about getting there yet though

Last year getting home from Homelands was such a nightmare

Really like the idea of getting inbto my car at the end of it but probably isn't the safest option

My missus drove to the hotel we had (in Coventry) after Global Gathering last year. She forced herself to eat crisps when driving past the busy's ;) I must say it felt very surreal driving through the lovely countryside the sun shining at 7am after the shenanigans before, specially as it had pissed down all night.

Apparently the busy's will be doing random swab tests on drivers leaving the fessies this year so it is best to get a coach.

Are you serious? Where did you hear that?

Right, scare mongering can stop right now guys…

Found this on Drugscope.org - referring to an All Party Parliamentary Report (2003)

Currently, under the Road Safety Act, there is an objective test for the presence of alcohol. However, in relation to drugs, the police do not have any lawful power to require suspected drug drivers to provide a specimen for analysis by a suitable device.

Then found this on Guardian website

Roadside drug tests put on ice

Gaby Hinsliff, chief political correspondent
Sunday January 18, 2004
The Observer

Roadside drug tests for drivers have been shelved for at least two years because of fears that they are unreliable. Police have reverted to asking motorists to walk a straight line or stand on one leg.

Trials of sophisticated breathalyser-style kits, supposed to detect traces of illegal drugs in bodily fluids such as saliva, have led to people on ordinary medication, such as heart drugs, being wrongly identified as having taken illegal drugs.

The Home Office will now introduce compulsory American-style 'sobriety tests' - making suspects touch a finger to their nose, walk heel to toe along the road in a straight line, stand on one leg or count silently to 30 - later this year, MPs were told last week. At present the tests are not compulsory.

The Labour MP Laura Moffatt, a former nurse and member of the all-party group on drug misuse, warned that introducing chemical testing kits too soon would backfire.

'We got it right with breath testing, but this is challengeable,' she said. 'The Home Office is right to be cautious about it.'

Calls for a crackdown on drugged drivers have risen with the growth in cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy use, particularly among young people. Last week a 24-year-old man was jailed for seven years for killing schoolgirl Laura Swadkins when he lost control of his car while high on amphetamines.

Caroline Flint, a Home Office Minister, told MPs last week that it would be 2006 before any of the more hi-tech drug-testing kits - originally supposed to be ready by 2002 - were likely to be approved.

Richard Brumstrom, chief constable of North Wales, said yesterday reliable testing kits would still be needed in the end. 'There is a real need to develop a device that can assist operational police officers in the detection of drug driving,' he said.

A recent survey found up to one in 20 drivers were under the influence of drugs, while up to one in four road accidents involve their use.
While cannabis can slow a driver's reactions, drugs such as cocaine may encourage risk-taking.

Although there is evidence of US fighter pilots taking amphetamines to improve their reaction speed, such substances can also affect peripheral focus - important for drivers who come across unexpected situations.

The End.

There's the same scaremongering stories every year about the police doing drug tests of everyone who's leaving but in the scheme of things don't you think the Hampshire police or whoever have got better things to do than drug test several thousand clubbers

Bit intimidating :?

They have sniffer dogs @ Homelands every year, I've never got stopped so they're obviously not the bestest sniffer dogs in the world  but I know people who have  There's ways and means to throw them off the scent if you get my drift ;)
