This coming Saturday will not only see Sasha and John Digweed play together at Renaissance's 'Wild in the Country' celebration for the first time in 10 years, it's also the debut of Pacha from Ibiza, which will host one of the festival tents.
Renaissance and Pacha have teamed up for 'Wild in the Country' so expect a compilation cd in late June - thrice mixed by Neneh Cherry, Andy B, Wally Lopez and Kiko Navarro.
Andy B - who is mixing cd 1 - is resident DJ in the Global Room of the Ibiza club where hip-hop parties take place in the summer. This room was the main room way back in 1973 when the club first opened. Andy B and Neneh Cherry combine the vibe of the Global Room with music from A tribe Called Quest, P Diddy, and Jazzy Jeff amongst others.
Wally Lopez mixes the third cd of the compilation with a tribal house journey of tracks by Knight Keys/Never Felt This Way (Behrouz & Andy Toronto Mix), the A.T.F.C remix of Jaydee's 'Plastic Dreams', Francesco Farfa/Universal Love and of course, his seminal 'Tribute to Acid House' which came out on Underwater Records last year.
