registering for the padron whilst being a tenant in ibiza

Hi Guys

I have six months work in ibiza, i pay autonomo and my wife and myself are residents on the mainland and in the system etc, however my wife is pregnant and we are told that to receive all the required care, she will need to cancel our padron in alicante province and reapply in ibiza.

I figure we will need a copy of the landlords passport and a proper contract, our nie forms etc, anything else??

Hi there

12 years ago I would have asked the same question, but nothing in Spain surprises me, and I wasn't surprised when the midwife or someone at the clinic suggested we change our padron address to get all the scans and such, we have since been accepted in to the Ibiza medical systems without doing anything?. Apprently a quirk of the law that pregnant women are instantly accepted regardless of paperwork and legality or not.

Same old same old here, waiting on a tax rebate, the Ibiza tax office won't pay me because I am a resident of alicante province, change your residencia to Ibiza the lady said, complete cobblers my accountant said, meanwhile I could just do with the dough, lol
