Any chance to hear something other than house, trance etc. in Ibiza? I've been curious about Ibiza for a while but don't really want to waste the time or money if I can't find a party I'll actually enjoy.

Soul City bar in the West End plays RnB/hip hop etc
Summum usually has a few of these night and a Drum & Bass one last year
Twice as Nice are doing parties at EsParadis again
Pacha has HipHop/RnB in the global room some nights

More info will come thru later but hope that helps

Thanks macdonsj. Do you have any idea if it is difficult to get to these clubs using public transportation? Or are cabs generally affordable?

Thanks again.

You should never mention the words RnB and Ibiza in the same sentence if you ask me. Certainly don't say RnB whilst in Ibiza or someone might break your legs. You should really consider going to some of the tacky greek resorts (falaraki and Malia) if you are after RnB. You would fit in well there with all the 16 year old british scumbags that think acting like a gangster gives them some kind of "street cred" in the non-existent uk "ghettos". What a load of bullshit. And all fed by silly RnB and hip hop which isn't really RnB and hip hop at all, It's all just pop music. I mean my 4 year old sister likes 50 cent. Infact this crap should really all stay in America where it belongs, alongside other f***ed up things like people that start wars and then blame their victims. What a bunch of Yankers. Can't even spell colour properly, all 250 million of them. how funked up is that.

Well the above was a tad harsh...but I'd have to say it that there are few places where you'll find what you're looking for....
True a couple of nights and venues may cater to the Hiphop and R&B scene but it will not be to the magnitude of what you will find where you are in the states.
Personally speaking Ibiza does not attract a Hiphop crowd so majority of places will cater to more House/Trance followers than anything else. :)
You'll probably be able to occupy a couple of your nights with what you're looking for but definately not a good long holidays worth (depending how long you stay of course! ;) )
