Uptown's on D'arblay street just down from Black Market. Also worth a mention are City Sounds in Holborn and of course HMV Bond Street.
HMV opposite Bond Street has an amazing house vinyl selection. I'm friends with the guy who runs the 12" section and he gets all the exclusive records first. Recently, is the only record shop to sell C-Mos ' 2million ways' exclusively, had the first promo's of Audio Bullys 'bang bang' exclusively. You can listen to records there too, which is a surprise for an HMV. Ask for John in the vinyl section and tell him what you're into and he will sort you out with plenty of white labels and new big tracks. He dj's out a lot so is always up to date with new tracks. The other good thing about HMV's is that they dont charge you as much as independant shops, picked up Freemasons in there for £4.99, whilst other shops in Soho were charging £7.99-£8.99. I know it may sound like I'm riding HMV's dick, but trust me, if you want a cheaper, decent house selection, then head to HMV opposite Bond Street!
