(reasonably) Classy Hotels

Hi Guys

Stayed in San An Bay last year, prior to this was an Ibiza Virgin. Midway through holiday took trip to Ibiza town and f**king loved the place. Apparantly I was there during Italian week or something so the broads were amazing. Unfortunately cant speak Italian so you can imagine how far I got with my pasty white skin and dodgy Glaswegian accent!

Anyhows, think I would like to stay in Ibiza town this year and wondered whether anybody could recommend any relaticely high standard hotels? You know, when I say classy, I mean Travel Lodge classy!haha. Generally sick of going on 'clubbing' holidays and basically having so sleep on a crappy single bed with dodgy air conditioning and a dodgy shower! Recently qualified as a lawyer so have a few more pennies to spend. Had a look at Pacha Hotel-has anyone stayed here? How close is it to clubs, bars, beaches, etc.

I realised I have waffled a bit here however, any help would be much appreciated!!!

Pacha hotel isnt really near anywhere except Pacha! Many a night I've walked that ****ing stretch of road from Ibiza town to Pacha and back again- nightmare! The next beach is Figueritas which is a fair bit away. lot's of people say the Es Vive is the place to be but quite pricey as is everywhere else in Ibiza town!
My advice to you would be to check out the accomadation on this site- check out the maps and see whats right for ur budget!

Thanks Neill

Had a look at their website, looks quite good so I shall email them to see their prices etc...

Any other recommendations would be good. Not necessarily wanting to stay somewhere extravagent but simply somewhere clean, has SKy TV in room and has some decent food, etc.

Any alternative suggestions would be much appreciated guys! I need guidance!

Hello, I'm yet to stay there (booked for July) but I have heard reasonable things re Natico Ebuso near Ibiza Town - I think that is how it is spelt anyway.

Although no doubt someone will have a story to piss on my chips!

I love Es Vive! Stayed there a couple of times, and it is fab! In Ibiza town there are many wonderful, but very expensive hotels. The Nautico wasn't all that nice IMO (friends stayed there year before last and it was a 1 - 2 star standard at most). Ibiza Town is gorgeous.....but my recommendation for someone who doesn't want to spend as much as Es Vive, or as little as Nuatico, is to stay at one of the fiesta hotels in Playa d'en bossa - particularly the beach club. Excellent value for money, recently renovated and half board. Food is good (not 5 *, but good enough to eat!). I know that PDB is not Ibiza Town, but it isn't too difficult to get to Ibiza town either......Hope this helps!

thanks guys!!

Have been doing a little more digging into Es Vive and its looks pretty plush-just what I was looking for!!

Does anybody know the nearest beach etc?? and how far it is away?

Think I shall try and book up Es Vive if available-so if anyone has any advice as to what type of room to ask for, etc that would be much appreciated!!!

Figueretas - about 5 mins walk (if that). Nice little bay. You can then carry on walking all the way up the beach (facing the sea, turn right) to join up with PDB beach. A superior pool view room! Or suite!

Es Vive is a great place to stay, really plush hotel with an excellent bar downstairs which often has some amazing parties.

And Bora Bora / Space are only a 15 / 20 minute walk along the beach. I make the walk with a couple of friends and some Sangria every Sunday from Ibiza Town.

And if i recall i don´t think the prices for Es Vive are as much as you would think. Good luck with the hunt !

thanks guys!!

Guys

Somebody has just recommended the Gran Hotel in Ibiza town to me. Anybody stayed there?? Any good?

As for location if my memory serves me correctly, does this overlook the marina?

Goin to book at the end of this week so any other suggestions would be much appreciated!

i doubt if you'll get an answer to your first two questions as it only opens for the first time ever at the end of the month. you could be spotlight's pioneer reviewer...............
