Hello everybody! I am going to Ibiza for the first time in a little over a month now.....and I was wondering if anybody knew about videocamera use on the island? I am coming from the United States and would love to video tape a lot of my vacation, but I don't want to piss anybody off or get in trouble with authorities! I am perfectly aware that I will not be allowed to film in the clubs (and I have no intention to), but I want to film at the beaches and all the scenic places on the island......maybe even at bora bora! The film I use is of course for personal use ONLY...will not be making any public film or documentary or anything of the sort! Just want to capture my trip to Europe with my close friends!! Can anybody tell me any thoughts on this? Do you think this is wrong for me to do? It would help out a lot!

Its a great idea. My pictures and videos of ibiza (albeit shitey quality camera phone ones) kept me going throughout the year, and reminded me of what im going back to. we're tourists after all, might as well act like them :) now where did i put that bumbag :?:
 
Don't think you will have much of a problem either.

I should imagine a lot of folks will love to be filmed doing their stuff on the Bora Bora tables. Theres some TOTAL exhibitionists out there !

As far the general scenery - even though photos are lovely a sweeping panorama with a video camera will really capture the feel of some of the more stunning regions.

I would LOVE a film of Es Vedra appearing over the horizon as you drive up towards it on the road . . . I still remeber my gasp as I saw it for the first time.

However , bear in mind that there may be people in certain parts of Es Cavallet and Salinas that won't take kindly to having their pink and white dangly bits being immortalised on film :)
 
Ha ha...thanks for the help guys! I will be careful where I use my video camera then! I mainly wanted it for the sunsets and scenery anyway....and of course to capture some of the beautiful people of Ibiza! Cheers everybody! Ibiza, I'm coming in 39 days!
