radio 1, who listenes anymore

listening to pete tong is perfect for the drive to london on a friday night from Oxford for a big night out . :D

otherwise I tend to listen to my mp3s that I've downloaded off soulseek, which invariably include essential mixes

Radio 1 is piss poor during the day, but I always make sure I hear The Blue Room (best thing on the radio anywhere), and sometimes Rob Da Bank's night show and Annie Mac. Fergie and Mary Anne Hobs (?) also play some decent stuff, but it's hard finding the time to listen.

Blue room is good but sometimes just a bit too OTT and far out, some of the choones they chose - my god  and other times they are just spot on!

Listening every week to Tong, Fergie, Judge Jules, The Residency and Essential Selection shows!

Just lovin it! :D

Still try to catch Tongy and Jules as much as possible. I usually put either or on when I am getting read to go out.

Funnily enough, there's a radio station over here that now broadcasts the first 2 hrs of the Essential Selection between midnight and 2 AM on Saturdays here so it's not too bad, but I'm usually still out and about at that time.

You cant go wrong with Tong if you more or less want to have an idea whats rocking dancefloors at the moment.

Being a huge Fergie fan id say give him a chance too. People have pigeon-holed him for so long after his hard house days, you'd be surprised the sort of stuff he plays now. Really good electro and techno in my opinion

That's why I like it. Most radio is way too formulaic in the tunes played. I don't know if I consider it that far out anyway, but I do have a very eclectic taste in music...

Absolutely hate colin and edith... what utter drivel they come out with... had the mis-fortune of hearing abit today and edith was banging on about how she'd had a filling...wtf who really gives a f**k?

That said I like Tongy and Annie Mac!

I rarely listen to any other station, certainly I never listen to commercial radio. A lot of the music might be pish during the day but most of the DJs (with the exception of Scot Mills) are entertaining. At night nearly every show is a winner - Zane Lowe is the closest we have to a new John Peel, the Lockup is a great way to clear your head after a miserable Tuesday, Bobby and Nihal are good because they are a bit different, Annie Mac is the best show on the radio by a country mile, Essential Selection and Essential Mix are exactly what the name suggests, need I go on?
Can't wait to get moved house and get the internet back in, then I will listen to the dance shows constantly.
