Question to those who have been to Sundays @ Space this year

Have you by any chance heard Steve Lawler playing this year the massive summer tune 'Flash Brothers - Amen' on Space terrace (or maybe even inside)?

Oh and speaking of Flash Brothers, they had just finished producing a stunning new remix to 'Brad Carter - Morning Always Comes Too Soon' which is forthcoming on Positiva records... salute! 8)

Judging by the lack of replies i take it that either no one had yet been to Space this summer (very unlikely) or Lawler simply hasn't played this tune when u were there? :?

Just saw your thread. Lawler played Amen at the opening of WLS. I remember it quite clearly, it went down very well. Not heard that remix of brad carter yet.

Lawler took the wrong record off on Sunday gone. He was so embarrassed he just ducked down behind the decks and hid.
Everyone cheered and he jumped up laughing and got on with it. Best time I've had in Ibiza last Sunday was.

for those who have been already, what's the sound like on the terrace this year?

better or worse than last year?

anything else different/better/worse? are the bouncers still a bit nasty?

When we were the for We Love opening sound levels were low in the afternoon but they cranked it right up when Lawler came on :D

It was fine for We Love Opening. I think it varies week to week depending on how many complaints Darren Hughes has had from nearby residents

I was at We Love 4x last year and the sound was fine for 3 but at the Closing it was terrible when Fatboy was playing, Darren Hughes kept trying to turn it down and Fatboy was turning it up and I think Dazza realised he was going to have a riot on his hands so in the end he just left it up

Just hope that there's no sound complaints the week you're there ;)

thanks thats great! I have to say that last year was my first year on the terrace so i don't have anything to compare with, but the sound seemed great, if a little bit on the quiet side.

as for fatboy slim, i was at WLS closing last year and I have to say it looked different to me - i was on the podium facing the DJ booth and it seemed to us that fatboy kept messing up the main output with the mixer, but didn't notice cos obviously there are monitors in the DJ booth. anyway, after a while of it being quiet Darren ran into the booth and turned a knob and it kicked right back in. Fatboy looked really embarrased and then did an 'aw shucks' embarrased pose and then an 'ah who gives a funk' pose followed by jumping up and down with his hands in the air.....

either way it was a wicked wicked day/night.....LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!! :D

Didn't realise you were there for We Love Closing too, we were dancing on the steps/podium if you look from DJ booth are on left so you probably had clearer view than me, I just saw Dazza frantically running to and from booth and twiddling some knobs so assumed he was trying to appease the crowd

Like I said some people came back last summer and said they thought sound was bad when they went but apart from that blip during Fatboys set the sound was the same as every year as far as we were concerned.

And yes LOVE IS IN THE AIR, what a quality terrace moment :D ;)

don't think i'll be at the closing this year unfortunately - we are going 21st-31st of august, although you never know I might get ibiza-fever and book a flight back for closing as soon as i get home. :D

have you ever been in the last week of august? any negative points? since booking I've heard it can be very busy and hot, which is a bit worrying, although having said that it was only 2 or 3 weeks later when we went last year, and I can't imagine the terrace being much busier than it was for WLS closing.

Yep I've been the last 2 weeks of August. The first Sunday was rammed and you couldn't move. The second Sunday was not as bad though. It depends which DJ's they have on too.

thanks bubble

i will be doing two WLS this year, 22nd and 29th august. i know one of them is sasha so that's bound to be packed.

whatever happens, i will be too wrecked to care :)

Is that the one with the spanish sounding guitars in it?
i don't think so.
it's a melodic vocal trancy electro tune... really great!

yes it is, it has a huge guitar breakdown/riff and a female vocal, not electro in the slightest, very very trancy. sasha is playing it aswell.

correct, and so does many other top djs worldwide.
IMO it's one of the best summer anthems this year, especially since it travelles between a few electronic dance music generes.

Thumbs up for the Flash Brothers! :P

Monseur Jules played a remix of it at Judgement Sunday, though i couldn't tell you who it was by...

should have gone to space.. if it wasn't for that damned thomas Cook rep i met the night before.. i would have gone  :spank: :!: 8)
