Question re. giving out mixes/CDs

i guess not as its so widely done ... just curious like!
I think strictly speaking it's illegal, but if you put 'For promotional use only, not for sale' it shows you're not actually making a profit out of it (directly), so it's unlikely they'd try to prosecute.
