Question from a newbie

Hello,

I'm flying out to Ibiza 10\07\2008 for 1wk & will be roughing it the whole time camping in Es cana, therefore is it possible too find reastaurants/hotels etc that do special offers ie: Pay a fixed price to eat/drink as much as you want? Daft question i know but as i'll be on a tight budget? if it's possible that certain establishments offer such a service then it could help in keeping the cost of the holiday down?

Last year whilst staying on Lanzarote (Costa Teguise) & also Crete (Elounda) i found that some hotels allowed non staying clients to eat in their buffet restaurants for a fixed price ( ie:15 euros ) & got too eat & drink local alchohol/fruit juice etc, as much as they could manage. Therefore if the same is possible in es cana, then it might be my worthwhile trying it out.

I'm looking to have a good time on my budget although i won't be visiting any of the overpriced clubs on the Island, instead i'll be sight-seeing in the morning's & lying on the beach afternoons. The evenings will be spent taking advantage of any happy hours that are on offer & watching the sunset with camera ready.

Thank's

Dave

Magic! sounds like a superb Alternative Ibiza ...... :p
sorry i cant help with your question regarding es cana but if you do manage to cross the island to san antonio there is plenty of cheap drinks in various bars around the west end ..... hope you have a ball and manage to keep your schedule ;)

which campsite you staying at ? Camping escana has small supermarket near and quite a few bars do set menu for about 8 euros.Dont know about the hotels but most do let you pay an eat all you can.

Afternoon Doddy & Chezzie2,

Yes Doddy a trip to San Antonio is now penned in & it'll probably be during an evening following a day trip over to Formentera, if poss? I just hope i don't get carried away with the sight's & sound of the place otherwise i could be in limbo;)

Chezzie2,

I'll be staying at the Camping Es-Cana;) following some good reports i've read in the past over the Internet & thank's for a quick response to my question concerning the hotels, as i'll certainly now be making enquiries. I telephoned the Es Cana site this afternoon for seeing if they still had pitch's available & the woman i spoke too said yes for now, but maybe not in two weeks time. Just one more question? At what time roughly do the bars in Es-Cana (& Ibiza itself) close as i'm told that most are shut by 2AM or 3AM at the latest?

Thank's

Dave

the fiesta hotel in es cana does eat all you can.around 6 to 8 euros breakfast and 10/13 evening meal.cala nova hotel...but just pop into any hotel and ask the main waiter ok.

Sh*t what a b*gger i come home after a late night's darts session & the Pizza explodes in the microwave, oh well!!! If in 10hrs i'm awake then it'll mean i'm on my way to Ibiza:lol:
God i hope so because i would not want for a few brown ales & one sod*ing cheapo Pizza stop myself from enjoying what hopefully will be a good holiday..........

My only regret if i'm allowed one??? Is that maybe i should've experienced a holiday similar to what i'm now about to achieve in my younger years??

Well i hope that in one week's time i'm still in love with the woman i married & that i don't become a pervert:lol:given all the beautiful young ladies that will be descending on Ibiza ?

Thank's
Dave

NB: If the latter, then no-doubt you'll read about it in the gutter press:x
