Question for Ibiza residents or property owners

I have been having a heated debate with my builder regarding the plumbing in my apartment. He says that washing machines in ibiza only take cold water and not hot. In the UK all the washing machines i have take both hot and cold.

Can anyone shed any light??
 
wheres the problem?...i have also an app. on ibiza with a washing mashine,...the water in ibiza is never really cold...what for do you need hot water for the washing mashine?...the mashine can heat it itself, wheres the diff. to the water boiler???
 
My worry is that if there is only one cold feed for the washing machine and if it requires two to work then i have a problem. If it doesn't need two pipes feeding the machine to work then no problem.
 
Most machines have two pipes but it is not necessary to connect the hot feed.

Mine has both but I didn't connect the hot as Mrs Jam would hate it if the machine stole all the hot water!! :)

As Vienna said, it will simply heat the water itself......
 
it is also a more expensive way of washing. As it takes up a lot of power to heat the water in the machine rather than using hot water straight from the boiler....

Not if you are on Economy 7 & also they only take hot water to the lowest temperture a wash could be (mostly 30c) and then heat it up the required temp.
