QUESTION: Cameras?

Hi there,

I'm all set, ready to go in 3 days :D
I have a question for you guys:

Is it allowed to bring a camera in clubs and take pictures? I'm asking because some clubs in NYC don't let you take pictures.
How safe it is to check out your stuff at the door?
 
I've managed a camera in a few places, but most say No Cameras or Recording Equipment - wheather you could fit a small one down somewhere is another story...
 
Bring a disposable and hide it best you can to these ones (Then if they take it off you, then u dont lose out that much):

Space
Manumission

Check for security before taking a shot.


Its ok to bring cameras openly into:

Pacha
Amnesia
Eden
Es Paradis
El Divino

Again, be discreet, dont make it a big deal.

This may sound like a stupid question - but does the same apply to camera phones? My camera, oops I mean phone - takes impressive photo's, but I don't want it being taken from me.

(If you ask why I bring my phone along, it's for two reasons - firstly in case of unknown emergencies <losing mates etc>; secondly useful for sending photo messages to mates back home)
 
Apparently it's been heard of. However, I need my phone for very specific emergencies at home and if they take it off me, I'll demand a refund. :evil:

Oh.. but my phone don't take pictures...

Bit of a blonde moment there.. :lol:
 
Never heard of phones being confiscated! Mine takes very good pix, but only in good light unfortunately, not so hot in the clubs.

ya not supposed to take cameras in.. and they make u pay summat like 5 euros to have it placed in a safe keepin area 4 wen u leave the club.. but my m8s just held it in thier hand up in the air while the bouncers checked us and they dint even c it!
