Queries on ibiza opening weekend

Hello!

I am planning on heading to ibiza on the 24th of May. I'm booking my flights this week but am pretty cash poor after that for a while. My query is do the opening parties (ushuaia, space, DC10) generally sell out? If so when should I aim to buy my tickets to make sure I don't miss out! Same goes for accommodation.........when does all the cheap accomo start booking out in ibiza town??? I dont want to rock up to the island with no where to stay and no where to go!!

hardly any of the parties will sell out, but sometimes it's handy to buy tickets early because of earlybird or early-entry tickets which are cheaper. same goes for accom - if you book late you mostly end up paying more.

There's not much very cheap accommodation in Ibiza in general. However it's still May, so judging by the closing parties, I wouldn't expect the hotels to jack their prices up. They should even be cheaper than the first days of June, regardless that there are more tourists for the openings. No way Ushuaia and Space would sell out, I remember DC10 selling out a couple years ago, but you should be able to get a ticket on the 24th.
