Queens is a new clubbing experience, bringing eccentricity, glamour and a crazy carefree vibe. With a soundtrack of exceptionally high quality music delivered by some of the world’s leading exponents of the art of DJ'ing, Queens will bring together a diverse mixture of like-minded people with a common purpose of having the party of their lives.
Queens will wear its coolness with nonchalance and be a place to be who you want to be, not what others want to see.
Joey Negro
Joey Negro is the most well known pseudonym of master British DJ/producer/remixer Dave Lee. Under a plethora of other monikers including Jakatta, Akabu, Doug Willis, Raven Maize, The Sunburst Band and Z Factor, Dave was one of the first artists to incorporate disco samples in house music when he began his production career in 1988.
Joey Negro's sets reflect his extensive love of music ranging from rare disco through to vocal and classic house often into more deep, electronic and techy areas, his sets littered with exclusives, old and new.
Queens are proud to present a true legend to headline and open our first season of parties.
Pete Herbert
One time co-proprietor of the infamous Atlas Records shop in Soho, London, over a decade ago, these days Pete divides his time either behind the wheels of steel at clubs and parties around the globe or in the studio working solo or on various musical projects. His reputation as a top producer really took off following his work on Eskimo Recordings as Reverso 68 (with Phil Mison) and as LSB (with Baby G) and more recently Pete records under his own name, with support/plays from the likes of Francois K, A Love From Outer Space, PBR Streetgang and Horse Meat Disco.
When not in the studio, Pete can be found regularly behind the decks at places such as Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, Horse and Groom and other parties/clubs in his native London, including a regular slot at the Sancho Panza Notting Hill Carnival Stage each year. He also plays regularly in other forward thinking clubs around Europe and has recently and regularly done stints DJing in Australia, Indonesia, Brazil, China, India, Russia, Croatia, Lithuania, Paris, Ibiza, Tel Aviv and beyond. As if he is not busy enough, Pete also hosts his Music for Swimming Pools radio show on Ibiza Sonica every Friday
We have been exceptionally lucky to secure a DJ with the caliber of Pete as a resident for Queens and he epitomises our focus on high quality music, get ready to party!
