Queen set for spring tour with new frontman
The surviving members of rock legends Queen are to reunite for a tour next spring, with former Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers joining them in place of deceased frontman Freddie Mercury.
Queen guitarist Brian May played with Rodgers at the 50th anniversary celebrations for Fender Stratocaster guitar in London last September.
"The show went so incredibly well from our point of view, and we got so many rave reactions from out there, we decided almost then and there that we would look at a tour together," May wrote on his website.
May, Rodgers and drummer Roger Taylor also played together last month when Queen were inducted into the UK Hall of Fame.
The reformed Queen are currently set to play a number of venues in Europe early in 2005.
