Queen of Hoxton's NYE Disco, with a 9hr all singing all dancing straight up disco with barnstorming line up featuring Maurice Fulton, Ray Mang, The Idiots are Winning, Pyschemagik, Leftside Wobble, Yam Who?, Capita, Orlando Boom DJs and more below.
Tonght we are calling on all young hearts, dancers and party starters to hit the floor for this one night DISCO extravaganza. Think Bianca Jagger on a white horse, diamonds, decadence, dress up, BBQ and sparklers and a line up to see in the new year with a bang.
The Queen of Hoxton will be transformed into a NYE spectacular with bespoke lighting, visuals, performance, and a little of the unexpected... Headlining the intimate Funktion One basement we have a special disco set from none other than Maurice Fulton! Hailing from Baltimore, USA and now residing in the UK, this production powerhouse has worked with the best and is respected by DJs and dance floors worldwide. His tracks are often quietly edited to perfection by his own hand, and presented to maximum effect on the floor. Supporting and playing host in the basement we also invite The Idiots Are Winning residents who are quickly outgrowing their basement residency at Life bar. If these guys aren't on your radar just yet, they soon will be.
Providing the soundtrack on the ground floor will be the Psychemagik boys who really have owned 2011 when it comes to quality releases including their club night staple, Fleetwood Mac edit of ‘Everywhere'. They even secured themselves a guest mix slot on Annie Nightingale's BBC Radio 1 show.
Friend of the fam and all round top guy, Leftside Wobble headlines the ground floor party. His infectious and much loved edits have included a diverse set of artists including Ashford & Simpson, Russ Brown, Esther Philips, The Beatles and Curtis Mayfield. And his output has been supported by a diverse set of DJs including Luke Unabomber, Chris Duckenfield, Greg Wison, Mr Scruff and Rob Da Bank to name a few.
