Pushca/Dirty Diamonds Villa Party Review 01/07 /06

£60! €12 for fags! €10 for drinks!

seriously taking the piss! just because the big clubs charge ridiculous amounts for drinks doesn't mean pushca has to

Entry price was probably more worth it as pushca does put on good parties, but there really was no justification for the drinks price.

Did sound pretty amazing though.

Where did you read about drinks prices?

I'd love to have done this one - it would've been really different.

Although I would've had serious issues with the music...(not dissimilar to the Space terrace lunch time selection I imagine! Urgh. :p )

drinks tokens were €10 - and it did say it somewhere in the article.

(I probably would have gone too - but got angry when I had to pay €12 for fags  - that's the best thing about ibiza clubs - the fags are the same price as everywhere else! Someone please don't introduce the ministry owner to the pacha owner  )

Ibiza Uncovered

By Luke Bainbridge / Music 12:15pm
OMM nipped over to Ibiza for one night only for the Pushca and Dirty Diamonds bash. It's the only party either club promoter is throwing in Ibiza this year, and we were promised the event of the summer, with A-list celebs, the cream of the island's glamour crowd and 'camels imported from India'.
The venue was top secret and we were only told to meet in a deserted car park, from where we would be directed. Ah, it took us older heads right back to the Orbital raves of our youth. When we arrived the venue was a pretty stunning villa, set in lush grounds with a pool, which revellers were given the run of.
Traditional Indian dancers, naked fire-eaters, and hordes of scantily-clad glamourpusses circulated. We were going to point out it was a little cruel to import camels from India for a party, but the camels never materialised. Nor did the A-list celebs, come to that, but there was plenty of Ibiza faces and, er, the bloke who plays Martin Fowler on the telly, who was still going strong at 8am, and very nearly persuaded us to continue partying at Space the following morning.

**** that paying stupid money to see some prententious posers who think they are something they are not, give me a small club with normal prices and genuine sound people :!:
