One of my best memories of Ibiza was when the original was dropped at Bora Bora in 2003. Everyone went mental.

the milk and sugar re-edit that came out last year is almost identical to the original, nice and playable. there is a "proggy" bootleg out that was doing the rounds last year as well which is pretty good.

The original was really nasty manufactured pop when it came out - they even had a model miming on the video and whenever it was 'performed', and this just reminds me of of how much I didn't like it first time around.


Maybe I'm showing my age.......

Its all about the "BOOMP.....de de de-de"

First heard the new mix of it played by Nic Fanciulli in Scotland last month and it seemed to work very well, the crowd loved it.
 
There's a version that was recorded at Optimo that features the crowd singing along to it (including myself!).

i think its a bit rubbish really, i'm sure it will go down well with the newbies on the scene but the old faithful will always call for the original, like with any cover of an old track i suppose.
 
I love it :D

So f*** if it was originally released in the eighties. A good remix works wonders. A bad remix fair enough, but the version I have is quality.

Good remix = Strings of Life - Mark Knight and MtV remix
Mediocre remix = Strings of Life - Danny Krivit
Terrible remix = Strings Of Life - DRAMA remix (vocal penny pinch edit)
 
not sure how the Danny Krivit edit of strings of life can be considered Mediocre. Although it was seriously overplayed his keys were quality and if it wasnt for his mix you wouldnt have got the others.
