Puig den Vals - advice required

Hi all. Need some advice. If possible, from full time island dwellers.

We're looking at renting a house again in Summer 2007 but our favourite mini villa in Es Cubells has been booked. What's the Ibz town suburb of Puig den Vals like ??

Reckon it would be worth a go??

We're looking for somewhere more residential / noisy than Figueretas but not so out of the way as to make taxis unhappy to come out to us (as they have been in the past when trying to find a dirt track out in the wilds) if we fancy leaving the car at home and having a drink

Oh yeah - one more thing. Is this area in the heart of the roadworks zone at the moment??

my friends stayed in there in a villa a few years back, they never had any problems with taxis, mainly cos it is so close to ibiza town.

Cheers mate. It looks worth a go - we're hoping to find somewhere a fair bit quieter than the tourist centres so that we aren't bothered after a heavy night / day out ??

We've spotted another possible villa near San Rafael but on the opposite side of the main road to the village itself. How's the road works getting on around there - it was carnage when we were there in July last year. Not sure I could cope with sitting in an hours worth of traffic jam every time we left / came back to the place if it's still as bad as last year - I've had a look on Google satellite and the workworks aren't shown so I preume it must be an oldish image.

we stayed at villa san rafael a couple of years ago and it's lovely, very peaceful, panoramic views all around, lovely pool, loads of room too!
