Psychic Powers....

Item: Last week in a thread on this forum (about songs that remind you of...), I mentioned the song Hearts & Minds by Nitzer Ebb, a group I hadn't spoken of in ages. Today, I find out they're appearing in concert tonight.

Item: This afternoon I was walking along and remembered a guy I hadn't seen in a few weeks, only to meet him on the street about 60 seconds later.

Item: Yesterday I was having lunch with a former colleague and we discussed another former colleague, who subsequently called my mobile about 60 seconds later.

Coincidence? I think not! 8O
I'm beginning to believe in this psychic powers stuff... can we get Dionne Warwick on the phone!?

Anyone else have any strange psychic-type experiences lately?

We used to get them with Stuie all the time but I must admit my communication skills with the other side aren't as good as they used to be.

it's a load of rubbish.

think about the amount of times you think of/talk about people vs the amount of phone calls you get/times you bump into people you've not seen for ages - they're bound to clash once in a while, and if several clash at once, well Morbyd, you're an old man, it should at least happen once a lifetime!

And don't say - 'i knew you were going to say that'

Does he make you feel old as well then Morbyd?

I'm only young once, I'm going to make the most of the opportunity to abuse old people in the arrogant 'live forever' way that we can

When I was really, really ickle about 3. I was visiting family in Germany for the first time, I just turned up at their home and asked to use their toilet, they were about to tell me where it was, but I told them I already knew and went straight to it 8O :)

Good logic... it was just the number of incidents in a short span that got my head spinning. Weird stuff!

(and no... I don't actually think I'm psychic!)

I get things like this all the time.

Last week me and the girlfriend were in town and she wanted to go to H&M.

There are 2 H&M stores... one has male / female clothing and the other just female.
I was thinking to myself 'I wonder why there is one that's just for females'. They have been there for years and i'd never thought about it untill then. My girlfriend said 'the other H&M sells guys clothes aswell now'.

Once we were watching Graham Norton and I had the urge to say sea-lion (yeah, i'm crazy).... couple of seconds later Graham Norton shouts it.

The ironing board cover in my house was quite tatty and had been for a good while. I was thinking about buying one online because my mum never listens to me when I tell her about these sort of things. That night I got back home and there was a brand new Ironing board cover and I hadn't even mentioned it.

At christmas my mum said she'd buy some things for my gran from me. For some strange reason that day I was thinking about these things you put along doors to stop cold and wind during the winter. My mum showed me what she bought and one of those were in there.

There are alot more but these are what come to mind... It usually involves me thinking about something then my mum bringing it up the same day.

Or thinking something and not saying it, then someone else saying it right after.

:?

The thing is, I don't beleive in things like ghosts and mind readers etc. So these things just confuse me. I don't understand how coincidences with such small possibilities can occur so often

i dont' have anything 'psychic' but i have had some major coincidences

like meeting random people on my travels, and then running into them the strangest places 7 years later.

I remember hanging out with this guy in Prague, just walking around a park in Prague in 1997, only for a day, we never kept in contact... then I ran into him at a hippy festival in middle-of-nowhere japan 7 years later..

i met a guy on a bus in dublin... then ran into him in tel aviv a year later... he was sleeping on the bunk bed on top of me in the hostel.

Last year, on my last day in Ibiza, about 3 hours before I flew home, I was at bora bora and i ran into a friend of mine I knew when I lived in Japan and hadn't seen her for over 2 years... couldn't beleive that one!! funny thing was, we found out ( 2 hours before my plane was due to depart) we had been staying at the same hotel all along and her room had been directly above mine.

Many times have picked up the phone to call someone, and they called me.

When i was in australia last year i ended up going to a party with a guy i worked with.. began chatting to the guy who was throwing the party, we talked about our travels... and he told me about when he was in Prague (another prague story)... it was about the same time as me.... he showed me some pics... and there i was in one of his photos with a group of people sitting in a bar... it was a big night () and didn't remember much of it.

when i was younger my family used to live in a small town... when i was about 12, we came into the Edmonton and i did a triathlon.. i was looking through our photo album one time, and in the background was a good friend of mine, who i know now, standing behind me and my brothers in the photo!

i have so many coincidences like that!!!

I read a story in the paper about a woman who went on holiday to the US and was run over by a car and injured whilst she was there. Some time later she was at home in the UK and got run over again, and it turned out the same guy had run her over on both occasions- she had never met him on any occasion apart from when he had run her over. 8O

Maybe you just followed the smell?

My sister's daughter aged 2 at the time announced to the full room of adults "i am going to have a baby brother". My sister looked blankly at us all. 2 weeks later she found out she was pregnant and has since given birth to a baby boy! 8O

I love that story!...They say kids are more switched on to their intuition don't they?

...my dog can anticipate when someone is on the way home 10 mins before they arrive...does that count?
