Problems with Playa d'en Bossa and planes?

Hi, I am booking a family holiday for the rest of my family and as I have never stayed in Playa d'en Bossa before was wondering if the planes overhead cause problems with noise? Are they loud enough to wake you up? Do they continue throughout the night? Apart from planes are there any disadvantages of staying in this area?
Thanks
Warren

If you're looking for a family holiday then personally I'd say avoid PDB. I stay there loads but only cos it's close to Space and Bora Bora, as a resort it doesn't have a lot else to offer. There are way nicer beaches in Ibiza and most of the restaurants are very much of the BA variety - think chips with everything

Also if I was on a family holiday I think the sight of loads of mad clubbers dancing on the tables @ Bora Bora and leaving Space at all hours of the night and day would scar me for life 8O  ;)

Agreed, it is quite a young person's resort. I'd advise trying somewhere like Es Cana, or Portinax as they're much more family orientated ;)

Although PDB can have lots of families I agree that there are far nicer resorts to stay. Also eating places in PDB are limited.

As for the planes they would do my head in. They are a novelty for me when I am at PDB visiting Bora Bora and Space but once half a dozen planes have passed they begin to irratate me :spank:

I would recommend Santa Eularia - its gorgeous, far nicer than PDB. Nice beaches with a fab marina with great bars and restaurants. The resort has a nice relaxed atmosphere and enough eating places to dine somewhere different every night.

Thanks all for your advice. I would love to stay in PDB as I love Bora Bora and Space and so does my sister but not sure my mum and dad would fancy being so close. I will let them know what you have told me :D

Planes + PDB

Try Figeuretas, just a short walk from PDB - loads of restaurants, ideal for older people and not much noise from the planes. Also handy for Ibiza Town! Probably perfect for you from your posts.

we stayed in pdb last year and although you notice it at first but you get used to them. the kids might actually like them.

What the planes? or the mad clubber dancing in tables? ;)

Not sure what my mum would make of Bora Bora if she ever went there
