privilege tickets, photo ID

Hi, I got a couple of privilege tickets and its mentions i need photo ID, and they not take a copy, not keen on walking with either my passport of drivers card, is there an alternative?

any photographic ID will do

Is this a new thing or just for some tickets?

not at all a new thing. basically for every ticket that's sold on spotlight you need to bring a photo ID.
