Press/Photographer Passes for clubs?

I finally got my DJ website up and running this year and if possible would like to take photos at some of the clubs in Ibiza that I can put onto my website. I have a professional digital camera so it's not the sort of thing that you can sneak through the door. So once I have taken the photos I would also require somewhere in the club to store my camera so that I can enjoy the rest of the night partying.

I would imagine Ibiza clubs are notoriously difficult for providing/allowing this sort of thing, and it may also depend on whether the promoters will even allow it.

Does anyone have any tips about how to contact the relevant people at each club/promoter? I tried email contact via club and promoter websites last year but that got no response.

Cheers

I imagine it would be extremely hard to get press passes. Imagine how many people come from all over the world affiliated in some way or another with some kind of music related press/website/magazine/etc. I bet you have to be a well known press in order to get some kind of pass. Otherwise you'd have tons of people with press passes & cameras in the clubs.

Yup from experience of holidaying there, this is exactly how I see it. But no harm in trying to get some more opinions on here.

Unfortunately trying to chase down the owners during a 2 week period which is also a holiday from my regular Mon-Fri job, is not really a realistic option.

I hear ya...it's always worth a shot. :) Better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all... :?

I got press & photo passes last year for some of the clubs and am doing the same this year.

Don't bother contacting the venues as you won't get a response, but instead get in touch with the promoters of each night you're wanting to cover. Most have websites and you can get an email contact through there. I've got some so PM me and I'll try my best.

Some didn't bother getting back to me but most were really helpful and were also keen to help organise interviews with the djs as well. It's best to contact them far in advance as it often takes a while to hear back from them.
