Pre Paid Visa Cards

Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone has experience of using those reloadable Visa cards in Ibiza? I like the idea of just withdrawing money each night as and when I need it, and don't mind the £2ish withdrawal free if it means I never have large quanities of cash at any time. I've been victim to a broken in safe (not in Ibiza) in the past, so I'm a bit security concious now. Is there plenty of cash machines in the San An area?

i used to use cards when free.but now back to cash.but still take a card as back up.your choice.thats mine now.
 
Ive always used Trav Cheques but last year decided to use one of these cards. Never again! Had so much trouble drawing money out from cash points in Playa Den Bossa. Alot of the cash points didnt work.
 
The cash points in pdb are always empty at night whenever I've been. Every other telebanco was fine plus mine could be used in shops. Travelex card, can't go wrong in my opinion will be using again in a few weeks.

I have to say, my experience of Pd'B cash points is far from great. All too often I have had to walk from one end to the other just to withdraw cash.

In July I had to walk all the way from the Garbi to the Raza clubber. The first one I tried (closest) had some ket head fumbling several different cards. I waited behind him patiently and quietly for a good 5 mins before the machine retained his card and froze. The next I came too had a blank screen. The next was out of money. The one by Jet apartments had an A4 piece of paper stuck to it, which I didn't read, but assume indicated it was out of order. And this was when the temp was hitting 35 degrees at 4pm in the afternoon. It was not a pleasant stroll!

Still, I like the peace of mind the pre-loaded cars give me.
 
best cash point i found in my 2 weeks staying in PDB was the one beside ciao ciao

another good one which is pretty hidden is the one next to tantra. the one across the road from tantra always had a massive que!
