A mate of mine was in Ibiza last week and has just emailed this question to me
had nice relaxing time ,didnt mind about weather got that pri ckly heat rash again. if you speak to any brits out there that suffer from it ask them what prevents it,wont be able to live out there if i cant find a cure.already tried the following; anti histemine tablets stinging nettle extract tablets aloe vera gel doctor said clarins sun lotion piz buin allergy sun lotion none work.l

I had to split up the word P R I C K L Y to get around the profainty filter

I have suffered from *****ly heat severely in the past, resulting in a few spoiled trips abroad – including 3 days spent inside a hotel in Barcelona covered in cold compresses!

Now, I do the following ridiculous routine before my hols and ive not had a problem with it since.

I know your friend mentioned nettle and antihistamines but do they take it enough or for a long period BEFORE the holiday?

A month before take a drop of nettle tincture in a cup of water everyday
Two weeks before start taking antihistamines everyday
For the first two weeks of the holiday take antihistamines everyday
Buy some non irritant sun cream that doesn’t block pores – As the doc recommended Clarins is the best for me

Like I said ive not had a problem with it for a few years now, but if theyve already tried these, sorry i cant suggest anything else...

well im currentley out in the desert, and i dont personally suffer from this rash, is it from rubbing? cuz i would reccomend vaseline or something like that perhaps. or maybe some sort of powder... sorry i cant be of more help

I sometimes get a heat rash on my arms, think it is p!!!ckly heat, i have always used Savlon - takes away the sting and the rash!

My friend gets it really bad on her legs, can ruin her holiday if she is not careful and she gets very irritated ie when she is swimming, wet costumes make it worse and being out in the sun of course.

She usually takes Piriton a few weeks leading up to her holiday, this does seem to help. She has on the odd occasion still got it but not as bad as she has done.

I think its from exposure to the sun, some suncreams can cause it too
