Possible First Visit to Ibiza May 17-18 or June 1 -3

Hey everyone.
My friend and I are going to be in Spain for a study abroad in the month of May. We have a chance to take a plane to Ibiza from Madrid from May 17-18 or instead go when we finish our program on June 1 from Santiago de Compostela. This will be our first time in Ibiza. We come from Miami where there is an active nightlife, but we want to experience the clubbing Ibiza is infamously known for!

What do you guys (and girls) suggest? From what I've read, the cold months end in mid-May. Will there be any clubs open May 17-18 or will it essentially be a ghost town or family get away. How about June 1-3?

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!
We want to experience the world famous Ibiza nightlife with people from all across the globe.
 
Hello everything starts to open up from 9th June onwards. You should check the Party Calendar on this site. It will give an indication of what opens and when.

I looked over the party calender and found that Es Paradis is having their opening water party on May 17.

Do you neilly, or anyone else, know if Es Paradis' opening water party is typically a special event able attract a good lineup of dj's and people to Ibiza this early in the summer?

I would appreciate any comments, or opinions.

I would come over June 1st for Space opening doo having purchased your tix from this site prior to that.

Es Paradis will not blow you away unless you are (I am guessing you are not) a quite naive clubber who rarely seeks out good clubs/music.
