i stayed there a few years ago. the hotel was ok, very basic, no air con but they do have fridges in the rooms. the hotle bar is wicked for a drink when you get in after a night out. location good, close to kanya and the beach, near to the west end but far enough away to give you a break. most annoying thing is the pool being over the road and the s*it music the bang out all day long. we used another pool which is round the back, or went elsewhere.
don't walk across the baron bit of land late at night if you're a girl. it's well tempting after a night out but can be very dodgy. i think there's a promenade round it now so best stick to that.
don't eat breakfast in the place over the road. instead go left out of the hotel, turn right at the end of the road, then walk down there, good cafe with a blue shop front.

Don't think you've got anything to worry about staying at this hotel. We stayed there a couple of years back and it was just fine for our needs. To be honest, we spent very little time at the hotel (2-3hrs a night!) but when you need to get your head down it is just the job. Rooms very basic, corner rooms are better for keeping noise to a minimum.
The bar downstairs is great for early morning brekkies / late night drinks. Close to the excellent Coastline, Sunsea & Kanya and not too far from the Westend (about 10min walk).
Didn't use the pool(s) nearby, but you can find these on the sunset strip, or just head off to the beach in front of Bar M, Itaka etc..

i stayed here at the beginning of june and they where very good, the bar downstairs is nice for drinks and very cheap, we went to the pool most days and it was okay, just across from the hotel. I think if you are up to it defo go wandering around. If you are also hungry, go to fatso's round the corner. It is so close to the west end as well.
