I'd go with The Smiths...got respect for Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters but never been into them.
Boyzone showed a lot of promise early on but never beat "Love me for a reason" in my book, and even that's a cover...
 
Smiths no questions asked!

Foo Fighters are a great band and have some great songs... but they can't compare with The Smiths and their legacy!

Mozzer used to say some very funny things - but perhaps less so these days..

....and as for ronan keating, well he used to say it best when he had nothing to say at all

i liked all the big ones eg there is a light that never goes out, this charming man

some of my pals were obsessed. very funny lyrics at times. was never much into indie though

far preferred madness, FGTH, spandau, new order, pet shop boys on the pop side of things

I think I'm more into The Smiths now than I was in my mid teens. My two girls love them.
